Notice of Intent – Claim for Foreclosure Sale Proceeds
As a result of a recent decision by the Michigan Supreme Court, if your property was foreclosed and sold in an auction between 2015 through 2020, you may be eligible to claim remaining proceeds from the sale. This includes persons with an interest in the property (e.g., mortgage and lien holders). This form is for proceeds from sales prior to December 22, 2020 ONLY. Access the form by clicking the notice of intent form button below!

Probate Assistance
Are you facing foreclosure and need assistance in starting a Wayne County probate court case because a property is in the name of a deceased family member? Contact one of our community partners for assistance! 
On November 21, Treasurer Eric R. Sabree hosted the Wayne County Treasurer’s Office 8th Annual Veterans Resource Fair. The event welcomed over 300 veterans and featured participation from more than 85 vendors. Treasurer Sabree looks forward to welcoming veterans and their families at the 9th Annual Veterans Resource Fair in November 2025 in Detroit!

Community Partner Spotlight – Wayne Metro

Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency (Wayne Metro) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving approximately 75,000 low-and moderate-income residents throughout Wayne County. They provide over 100 programs in the areas of Quality Housing, Family Stability and Economic Opportunities. Wayne Metro’s services include financial capability education, homeownership workshops, housing counseling, financial counseling, utility assistance, Head Start, GED preparation, free tax preparation, foreclosure prevention and homeless services.
